BCI to Host Camp for High Schoolers with Disabilities
Boone Center, Inc. (BCI), a nonprofit dedicated to empowering adults with disabilities through employment opportunities, invites applications for a free, four-week summer camp tailored for high school freshmen and sophomores interested in manufacturing. Thanks to a generous grant from Nuts, Bolts and Thingamajigs, this enriching camp will run weekdays from July 15 to August 9, 8:00 a.m. to noon.
Limited to ten students, the camp offers a blend of instructor-led lessons and hands-on activities, culminating in the creation of a capstone project. Participants will also enjoy field trips to local manufacturing firms for immersive learning experiences. This year’s camp will be headquartered out of the Lewis & Clark Career Center in St. Charles.
